On September 3, the Bus Driver Championships of Sweden (Bussförar-SM) took place near Arlanda, outside Stockholm.
A total of 20 participants competed for the national title.
The competition consisted of five different events: disaster management, maneuvering tests, reverse driving, fuel-efficient driving, and service and customer care.
Drivecs employees Philip Holmqvist and Oskar Svensson were on-site to measure and report on the fuel-efficient driving event.
In tough competition and among many impressive performances, Josefine Blomberg from Nobina AB emerged as the winner.
”What set the winner, Josefine, apart from the other competitors was her ability to drive both fuel-efficiently and smoothly. By maintaining a steady speed and avoiding unnecessary braking, she managed to maximize fuel efficiency without compromising passenger comfort. Josefine demonstrated technical skill and environmental awareness, something that aligns perfectly with the future demands for sustainable public transportation.
Her victory is proof that professional bus drivers play an important role in the effort for a greener transport sector,”
says Oskar Svensson.
